Principal Ghada Al-Sadoon


Dr. Al-Sadoon received her B.S in Math from Yarmouk University, M.S. in Technical Communication from Metropolitan State University, and Doctor of Education degree in K-12 Administration (Ed.D) from Bethel University. She has a Principal license and a Superintendent license. She has authored a complete Arabic curriculum (pre-school- 6th grade).
 
Dr. Al-Sadoon has been associated with Al-Amal school for over 15 years in various capacities. She worked as a teacher, department coordinator, and vice principal. She established Arabic Academy in 2006, and she is still managing it for more than 12 years. Dr. Al-Sadoon is a former-member of Council of Islamic Schools in North America (CISNA) board of directors. She also serves on the Bethel University Education Advisory Board.
 
Dr. Al-Sadoon enjoys parasailing, swimming, walking, boating, tennis, traveling, web designing and interior designing. According to Strengths Finder Personal Assessment Test, her top five strengths are Achiever, Learner, Futuristic, Relator, and Discipline.

Vice-Principal Ishrat Islam


Mrs. Islam has been with the Al-Amal School since 1997. In past 21 years, she has held many positions besides being a full-time Language Arts teacher for middle and high school. She has been the chairperson for AdvancED (NCA) accreditation committee since 2008 leading the school through two accreditation cycles; lead teacher and mentor responsible for training and curriculum review; PSEO Coordinator and National Honor Society Adviser; in charge of the book fairs and spelling bee for the school.

Mrs. Islam has a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature with a minor in political science, and Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership & Human Resources.

Mrs. Islam enjoys traveling, cooking, and loves reading historical fiction and nonfiction.
