Admission Standards

Transcript/Report Card:

Al-Amal School will only accept students coming from other schools who possess strong GPA's.

  • Elementary students must have passing grades (all C or above).
  • 6th & 7th grade students must have passing grades with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (C+).
  • Students from 8th grade to 12th grade must have passing grades, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (B).

Standardized Tests:

All students applying to Al-Amal School must show previous test data (e.g. MCA, IOWA, NWEA etc.), and must at least meet their grade level standards. This means 60% or higher for grades 3 – 5 and 70% or higher for grades 6 – 10.

Behavior Reports:

The Admissions office will request a behavior report alongside the transcripts from parents
and from the child's previous school. Based on the information provided from these documents, Al-Amal School's Administration will decide whether to admit the student.

Re-Admission of former Al-Amal School students:

All former Al-Amal School students who want re-admittance will go through the
same new admission process as transfer students. These students will be required to pass the admissions test and must meet all other other admissions criteria if they are out of school for more than a single year. If a former student seeking re-admittance left the school due to behavioral issues, Al-Amal reserves the right to reject said student's application. A minimum of two years are required before this type of student is considered for re-admission. The Administration may require additional behavioral reports, through a professional source, if it is deemed necessary.
