Due to the growing
demand for Islamic education in the Twin Cities and the limited
space of the current school building,
an expansion has
become a necessity.
Currently, the school has undertaken a $2.8+ million project to
build a 21,000 square foot addition to accommodate the growing
number of Al-Amal middle/high students.
After one year
construction time, the whole muslim community
came together on Saturday, August 25, 2007 to celebrate
the inauguration of the new building (Phase
1). The new building is used since beginning of the school year
for grades 5 and up as well as for computer and science labs.
Phase I
involves a 21,000 square foot expansion, including
state-of-the-art chemistry, physics and biology labs as well as
a new computer lab with 32 workstations, school library, new
main office, and seven additional classrooms. Parking will also
be enhanced with ample spaces and a drop-off area for
school buses.
Phase II is in
planning phase and consists of an approximately 24,000 sqare
foot addition. This stage
of the expansion will include a space for Al-Shifa
Clinic, ICM library/bookstore,
multi-purpose room/gym, kitchen, locker rooms, and
a social
service room.
What Does the
School Need?

already paid about $2,6 Million so far.
$1,6 Millionen were school funds or donations, the rest was

Why Should
You Help?
By supporting Al-Amal School you will support quality Islamic
education and invest in the future of the Muslim community.
Allah reminds us in the following ayah of the importance of and
reward for spending in His way.
The parable of those
who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is that of a grain: It grows seven
spikes and in
each spike
are a hundred grains.
Allah multiplies His reward for whom He pleases.
And Allah is All-Encompassing,
All-Knowing. (Quran 2:261)
