WHY AL-AMAL SCHOOL?

Before reading this part, please consider reading the section Why choose an Islamic school ?

If you have decided to take a closer look at a full-time Islamic School, we would appreciate it if you would consider Al-Amal School. Many parents have already done so for one or all of the following reasons:

Success: Al-Amal School has served the Muslim community since 1994. During this time, the students of Al-Amal School have achieved high test scores and steadily improved their academics. Graduates of our school were admitted into in Ivy League colleges. Click here to learn more about test results.

Location: The Twin Cities area in Minnesota is a growing and successful Muslim community in the national spotlight. The citizens of Minneapolis have elected Keith Ellison as the first Muslim Congressman in the United States. This election has shown how friendly and open the non-Muslim community in Minnesota is. In addition, a community of its own has grown around the school’s neighborhood with many Muslim families moving to Fridley.

Independent School: The founders of Al-Amal School have made the wise decision that the school must stay independent of all other local and national organizations. This ensures that the Board of Directors can focus solely on Al-Amal School’s educational goals and does not need to consider other, sometimes political, circumstances.

School Community: Al-Amal School has a very diverse student and parent population. More than 17 languages are spoken at home. Check the FAQ page for more information.

Muslim Community: Estimates show that more than 100,000 Muslims live in Minnesota. The professional background of these community members and parents is very diverse and the percentage of professionals and business people is higher than in the non-Muslim community. In addition, an Islamic University has been opened recently offering classes for youth and adults.
